Windows administrative priviledges

A

Anthony

I am trying to install Roadrunner on my computer. When I
try to activate, it gives me the following message. "If
you are using Windows or Windows XP your userid must have
administrative priviledges to use." Then it will not let
me continue. I contacted Roadrunner and they referred me
to Microsoft. I use Microsoft XP 2002 Home edition. From
what I understand, this computer was assembled by someone
other than the company. What do I need to do to get this
administrative priviledge set up?

Thank you!

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (which
cannot be deleted) and modify the desired account. By design, the only
way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to reboot
into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the
Welcome Screen will produce the standard login dialog box.
