I have been using Windows Vista on a Compaq laptop for about 6 months. I
have received the below error message several times and the only way I have
been able to fix is by doing a complete recovery. There must be a better
way to fix.
Windows Activation
The Windows Vista Home Premium product key you typed is invalid for
activation.
o Access your computer with reduced functionally. This will allow you to
buy a product key online.
o Type a different product key
o Contact HP to help resolve this problem
I use the product key printed on the bottom of the PC. The software was
preinstalled. When I call Microsoft, they tell me if Vista was preinstalled
I have to contact manuf. (HP). When I call HP, they tell me to do complete
