windows activation

I just reinstalled windows xp pro from my sony recovery dvd. I also
reinstalled Office 2003 from my original CD. When I open any office program
and look under activate, I click on it, but it seems to do nothing. I
thought I'd have to activate Office again, or if it activated itself, I read
something that said I should get a messege stating that it's already
activated, but I don't get any kind of response. Also, I chose activate
windows later, when running the install DVD, but now that I have my wireless
connection up and going, I can't find anywhere to activate windows. Did
windows and Office do this on their own?

I ran this:
oobe/msoobe /a
from the cmd window and it said windows was already activated.
....is there a way to tell if office 2003 is, too.
One place said if it was and I clicked on activate product under the help
tab, that it would give me a messege stating that it's activated, but it
doesn't do anything. I'm just afraid that something didn't go right in the
install...

If Office is not activated as soon as you run any program in the suite you
would see an activation screen.
