I have recently bought a new Motherboard for my PC as I
want an AGP slot.
Yesterday I installed the new Motherboard. Everything
went ok, windows loaded and everything. Then it went to
the User account selection screen as usual but when I
chose the account to log on the following message was
displayed "Before you log on to windows you must activate
windows with microsoft" So I chose to do so thinking this
was a bit strange considering I have been running XP on
my old Motherboard for over a year. Then a white screen
came up with the heading "Windows Activation" and a logo
of some keys but this screen didn't do anything else.
Maybe I need to insert the windows xp disk but that would
be a problem as I don't have one. Windows was on my
system when I bought it.
Can you help this is driving me up the wall!!
My System (currently)
AMD Athlon XP 1.4GHz
256 SDRAM
MATX MSI 6378-Motherboard
Windows XP Home Edition.
The Motherboard I am trying to install is a Asrock K7VM2
MATX. Along with some DDR RAM
want an AGP slot.
