Windows 98 to Windows 2000 Upgrade does not Recognize CD

I upgraded 2-Windows 98 machines to Windows 2000 and now
my CD-ROM drives are not accessible when Windows 2000
start up in normal mode. I can see the CD drives if I
start Windows 2000 up in safe mode.

Can you help?
