windows 98 and XP folder and printer share

Hi!

I have a system of 2 computers - Win NT, win98 and win 2K (it just is
so). It is the connection between 98 and XP - I just reinstalled the 98
computer

1) the 98 computer should be so, that it require a password (logon) at
all times, so strangers can't access it. It works, but by hitting
escape it passes too. Both using Windows logon and client for win
networks (it used to work). Family login is not what I need.

2) there are 2 shared folders on the 2K machine, which the others use,
but the 98 can only see one, and will _never_ let me in. I know I need
a login somehow, but I cannot make it work. The NT can connect
perfectly.

The are not problems with the NT machine, and the 2K can connect to the
others without problems.

I have tried to reinstall the drives delete the PWL file etc... no luck
so far. It is probably something in the registry

To correct part 2:

it was the lenght of the name causing problems, I could not see it -
now I can see both
but I can not access anything there at all

You may have the problems I had. Have a look at
