When I was fooling around with Vista, I could see some reasons
not to switch (changes in UI, things in different places); but
couldn't find any real benefits.

Probably a function of what one wants the PC to do.... but
still...

So... Has anybody switched to 7 and found things that made them
glad they switched?

Nope, I still like Windows XP so much better. The Taskbar of Windows 7
is really nice though. But it isn't worth making the move over to
Windows 7 for me. I am so sorry I preordered two copies of the slow
beast now. <sigh>

Where do they have it available to order, I tried newegg but they only have
the upgrade versions,I want the full version professional

I have the RC in a seperate partition and testing it, I love the way it
identifies the hardware, ie printer and built in stuff, WMP sucks big time, I
really hope it's been fixed in the final release. speed of logon is great,
that's it so far.

I preordered mine but they were upgrade versions. I don't know anything
about preordering full versions.

Poorly posed.

What I should have said was "Has anybody switched to 7 who
switched to Vista and didn't see anything worth the switch - and
found things in 7 that made them glad they switched?"

k, I have read things that said the full versions will be out in Nov
sometime, available for the general public.
