Windows 7 pre-order/upgrade question

This may not be the best group to post this in, but .....

Windows 7 comes out 10/22. Probably not news to anyone (especially here).

From now until July 11th, a few places are participating in a Microsoft
"pre-order" program where you can buy a copy at a VERY steep discount
(50% to 70% off; $49 for the $119 Home Premium Upgrade, for example).
Ships on 10/22.

So I went to www.BestBuy.com/Windows7preorder to place an order, and
there are two SKU's ... Home Premium and Business.

Shouldn't there be four SKUs?

-Home Premium 32-bit
-Home Premium 64-bit
-Business 32-bit
-Business 64-bit

???

[Or does each package possibly include both, but you can use one or the
other?]

You need to note that it appears that you can not upgrade Windows XP
to Windows 7. It seems that you need to have Windows Vista, even
though it has been reported that Windows 7 Business & Ultimate can be
"downgraded" to Windows XP Pro.

I've tried this XP-Vista-Seven process on 4 different computers. Of
the four only one made it all the way to the finish line. The process is
very machine/software/driver dependant. The only caveat on trying it
is to backup/image the PC at every single step. Without intensive work
to prep the machine you're likely to be disappointed. Unfortunately the
highest failure point is the XP to Vista part. ( Fails at 68% complete
during the Vista upgrade ).

Strange as Vista has and is a valid XP upgrade.

Drivers are an issue, but 7 seems happy on older computers.
I bringing a new system on line shortly and when the RTM is
released I'll try again.
