Windows 7 newsgroup?

There is alt.windows7.general but I don't think it's available on all
servers.

Thanks for your quick reply and the forum link.

Pity there isn't a newsgroup, which I tend to find more convenient than
forums.

They are *much* faster and more convenient than forums, as far as I'm
concerned.

However it isn't true that there is no newsgroup. There are no
Microsoft newsgroups, but there is one on other servers. Here's my
standard post on the subject:

Unfortunately it's highly unlikely that there will be any Microsoft
Windows 7 newsgroups. Apparently Microsoft has decided that web-based
forums are better than newsgroups and they are putting their efforts
there. I'm personally sorry that's the case, but it's their decision,
not mine. Go to
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/default.aspx?tab=2

However there is at least one non-Microsoft Windows 7 newsgroup:
alt.windows7.general. Not all servers carry it (at least not yet), but
here's one free news server that does: aioe.org

alt.windows7.general is also available on news.eternal-september.org.

I also read microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_suggestions on
eternal-september because Microsoft seems unable to give the unread
message count correctly for this group on msnews.microsoft.com tho' it
gets the correct numbers for m.p.excel.charting, m.p.e.misc and the few
others that I read.

You are the one with total incompetence. If you don't believe that, write
an operating system.
Obviously you cannot yet you criticize MS.

I wonder if it ever occurred to you that the vast majority of the problems
you described are caused by
non Microsoft programs such as virus programs, registry cleaners, malware
scanners etc. etc. etc.
Since you say you have some programming experience do you think it possible
for MS to test
their OS with every program written by others?

BUT, Microsoft does NOT control third party programs. The OS runs third
party programs but when a problem appears
why is it Microsoft's fault? Why blame Microsoft?
