Windows 2008 R2 Adrep

guv

When doing the schema update using adprep for upgrading from windows 2003 to
windows 2008, can you use the windows 2008 R2 adprep or do you need to use
the adprep on the windows 2008 DVD. On windows 2003 can use directly
upgrade schema from 2008 R2, avoiding going to windows 2008.

Any advise

Hello guv,

Yes you can use the 2008 R2 disk, includes all downlevel schema files to
windows 2000. 2008 R2 includes the 32bit adprep32.exe and 64bit adprep.exe,
so make sure to use the correct one for your OS.
