Hi All,

I have a server which is runnign Windows 2003 standard edition. The server
is fine except it is slow in a sense that if I copy a 24MB file from another
server to the server, it will need 20mins. This is riduculous. Even the
backup run (backing up remote server data within the LAN) terribly slow at
1MB/min!!

I have updated the network adapter driver, defrag the drive, increase the
paging to 2x the RAM, set the system to be optimised for File Sharing or
Network applications. I have checked the network, memory and cpu utilization
and all looks ok. The server I am having is a single SCSI drive with 2
partitions and it is acting as a DC.

Does anyone has any idea?

Thanks in advance.

If your server utilization is OK, did you checkvyour switches/routers in
between?

Hi,

When I surf the Internet from the server, it is quite fast. The only problem
is file transfer, like copying files from another server.

Any ideas?
