Windows 2000 workstation slow at boot up in a Windows 2003 domain

I recently migrated from a Windows NT 4.0 domain to a Windows 2003 domain.
All of the Windows 2000 workstations are now booting slow. The "applying
computer setting" at the boot process seems to be slow. The problem seems to
be with Windows 2000 workstations and not Windows XP workstaiton. The DNS on
the workstations are pointing to the AS DNS Server. Any ideas on how to speed
up this process?

AS DNS Server?? not sure what this means, BUT make sure the primary dns
settingson the workstation, is the 2003 server. I am assuming that this is
your PDC and is running DNS. Are you using roaming profiles? If you are then
this will make the login process slow as well.
