Windows 2000 Shares not available

I have a windows 2000 profesional machine. i have created
shares on this machine. Some of the windows 98 machine
want to access shares on windows 2000 professional but
they could not even access the machine ( win2k) eventhough
they are valid users of windows 2000 professional machine
& are in same workgroup as windows 2000 professional

If you can see the share in network neighborhood and it
asks for a password when you attempt to access it then you
are not logging on Win 98 box with a user name and
password that exists on the Win 2000. Another possibility
is the account they are logging in with does not proper
permission for the share.
