Windows 2000 Services

Hello

My computer has been running with very high memory usage
recently.

I decided to remove all "unneeded" services from Windows
2000 to save memory. As you can probably guess, I've
managed to remove a few services which are required to
connect to the Internet.

I know which services I need to re-enable, however the
services properties dialogue boxes will not appear. Right
clicking on a service and clicking properties causes
nothing to happen. However then attempting to close the
Services box causes an error "close all property pages".

Any ideas on how to get Win2k to reactivate services?

I'm using Windows 2000 SP4.

Thanks!

You can use the "net start" command from the command prompt to start a
service. For example, the following will start the Autmoatic Updates client
service.

net start "Automatic Updates"

Hope this helps
