Does anyone know a possible cause and maybe a solution as to why windows 2000
would just reboot itself with being commanded to do so
Thank you in advance

Hi ricka,

I hope there may be some problem with your registry. This methode will
help you if you have recent copy of system state backup. Strart your
computer in recovery console and backup current registrty files
(c:\winnt\system32\config). Then replace the current regisrty files
with good one that you can see in systemroot\repair folder. But you
will loose what ever the new softwares and other changes that you have
made.So you have to restore it from recent system state backup.

Second option, you can reinstall OS by prompting to repair the
existing installtion. If you doesnt have ERD, proceed with installtion
with out selecting repair. Then setup will automatically detect
existing installtion and ask do you want to repair the exeisting
installtion.Then select repair there.

Cheers,
Biju
