Help! I've tried 6 times already, trying to install 2000.But the damn computer
reboots itself after the installation of network components, actually it does
the reboot during step 3 (?) when the other files and such are
installing.Layman's terms,in the article "How to install Windows 2000" ,my pc
reboots between steps 13 & 14,after network is done,and while it's installing
the other files. What gives?I've run 98 SE,and XP Home on this same computer
in the past, and I've reinstalled Windows 2000 (reformat and everything) 6
times already, yet the computer goes nuts on me,so I know it can't be the
issue of the computer not handling Win 2000.PLEASE HELP..........ahhhhh!

PS.Just talked to a pc buddy of mine, and he said that the NIC card is
probably making the computer reboot itself, that there is a conflict
there.BTW,this copy of Win 2000 is a MSDN downloaded ISO Win 2000 SP4.My pal
said remove the NIC and redo the installation all-together.Does anybody agree
or disagree with this?

I would agree that this would be a logical troubleshooting step.
