WINDOWS 2000 PRO WILL NO START UP

S

Saul

AS SOON AS WINDOWS STARTS TO LOAD I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE:
"SHUT DOWN INITIATED BY NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM"
"THE SYSTEM PROCESS C\WINNT\SYSTEM 32\SERVICES.EXE
TERMINATED UNEXPECTEDLY WITH STATUS CODE 128.
THE SYSTEM WILL NOW SHUT DOWN..."
IT JUST KEEPS CYCLING THRU THIS SHUTDOWN, STARTUP,
SHUTDOWN AND WOULD PROBABLY GO ON FOREVER.
WHAT HAPPENED???

HOW DO I FIX THIS?

1. Typing in all CAPS is what's known as SHOUTING and is considered rude in
the online world. I recommend using capitalization in the same way you'd
write a formal document, i.e. capitalizing the first word of a sentence,
proper nouns, etc.

2. You are not keeping your computer up to date. Do you remember hearing
about the blaster worm, like half a year ago? It was all over the radio,
TV, newspapers, etc.

3. Download the latest service pack for W2K and enable automatic updates,
since you are obviously not maintaining updates on your own.
