Hello:

I have two computers with Windows 2000 O/S's. I want to
create a connection between the two so I can access files
between the two. Does anyone know where I can find a
simple tutorial to do this. My two computers are online
and are connected via a router. When I go into My Network
Places on on computer 1 I can see both my computers ex:
computer 1 and computer 2, however the same cannot be said
about computer 2, when I click on computers near me I get
the message "workgroup is not accessable.

Thank you
Scott

You already have a good start. Now click on Start, Help, then lookup Peer
to Peer Networking, and start reading.
Good luck.

Hello,

The best way to share files in not to use browsing to make the connection.
What I wouls suggest is for you to map a drive to each computer from the
other. This way you have access to the share on the other computer via
drive letter.
To map the drive just go into My Computer and select the Tools drop down
menu and then map network drive. Enter the IP address of the other
computer and the share name in this format "\\server\share". Then you just
use this drive letter to copy files back and forth.
