Windows 2000 Login Problems

I am getting the following error on new (non-
administrator) users on Windows 2000 Pro:

"Windows cannot log you on because the profile cannot be
loaded. Contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - Data error (cyclic redundancy check)."

Any idea what is causing this problem?

Sound like a corrupt profile. Enable userenv log per this article and see
what it reports when the user tries to login.
