windows 2000 goes in to BSOD after installing canon multipass suite 4.0

Ilias

Windows 2000 professional, SP4 is running on the system.

Basically,I installed drivers for my canon printer, I used
the CD "Canon Multipass Suite 4.0" which has drivers for
win2k and XP as well. When I rebooted the system, "Windows
is Starting" window appears and then there is a memory
dump with the following as part of that error message:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
ADDRESS: 80416B17 DateStamp: 3ee6c002 ntoskrnl.exe

Please advise how to make my system up and running.

thanks

Usual methods are to try special booting modes: LastKnownGod and SafeMode

I have MultiPASS FAX B210C (software v.3.1) and i found it turns into some
strange state if PC goes to sleep/suspend - so i turned APM off.
Try to disconnect You printer from PC - if PC starts then (it would work i
think very slow), try unplug printer from AC, turn PC off, connect printer to
PC, to current and then boot.

Try to enter RecoveryConsole and make MPService service disabled

BTW, what printer do You have ?
