It does not have a firewall per se like XP does, however ipsec
filtering can be used as a basic firewall [ipsec with permit action instead
of negotiate], though I prefer one of the many excellent free [for personal
use] ones available such as Kerio, Sygate, Zone Alarm, etc. --- Steve

Ipsec filtering is not enabled by default and would take a bit of
work to create policy anyhow. My guess is that Zone Alarm is not configured
correctly. make sure ports 80/443 have access to the internet and port 53
does also, or at least to your dns servers. Check the logs for Zone Alarm to
see what traffic is being blocked for any clues. --- Steve

But it feels like it..When i installed Windows 2000,
internet started perfectly, when i installed zone alarm
pro the internet wouldn´t start, but when i closed zone
alarm the internet startade again..There must be something
that blocks te internet, my guess was, 2 firewall having a
cat fight..Were do i close this ipsec ?..Thx and bye.

Technically, it does not. However, you can filter tcp / udp traffic by port #, as well as by ip addresses (see the "advanced" section in the tcpip settings). You can also use ipsec for secure point to point communication.

The Win2k3 / XP firewall settings are a bit more robust than this.
