Windows 2000 - Files Restore issue

Hi,

The tape drive on my windows 2000 Server computer is not able to load the
catalog from the tape cartridge. When I click on the required media, it
displays all the drive letters but when I right click on a particular drive
and choose catalog, the process starts with "Loading catalog....etc" but
does not end for any lenght of time. I am not able to see a list of files
backed up and hence cannot restore from the tape. I have tested the tapes
cartridges(backed up on this server) on other servers, and they show the
list of files and folders. Please help.

Hi,

Do you see the media in the device manager .Does it shows as unrecognised
media.Are you able to backup any more files to a media in the catalog
