windows 2000 file sharing

i have established a local network between a PC with windows 2000 and one
with UNIX.i installed the services for unix 2.0, (only the server).i mapped a
folder of the unix using pc to the one with windows but i can't see its
content.
should i install client as well?
any assistance much appreciated...
