windows 2000 doesn't want to stop

Hi !
I have a laptop on which sometime, W2K doesn't want to
stop when I make start, shutdown command.

I have office 2K on it, Norton anti virus, IE6SP1, acrobat
5 and logitech driver for infrared mouse and keyb.

Do you have any idea ?
 
Try disabling the Norton program because sometimes the
process can get hung up on shutdown.
 
Does the laptop have a floppy drive? NAV has a setting to check floppies at
shutdown, I have seen that cause the problem you are having. If there is no
floppy attached, NAV gets hung looking for it. Check the advanced settings
in NAV and disable floppy checking.
