Windows 2000 Blue Screen

Hi I hope you can help since online support has proved pointless.

Everytime I boot I get a Blue screen. with the following error.

Stop 0x00000050 (0xEC2BF340, 0x00000000, 0xEB90A71E, 0x00000000)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

I have tried a hardware solution mentioned. All anti-virus has been
disabled but it continues to occur. No New hardware has been recently added.
The only thing that has changed was a hotfix that installed when I shut it
down last night. Unfortunately as I have no way to access the system I cant
say what it was.

I have tried using the recovery functions though the Windows 2000 disc but
had no effect except that now when I try to access safemode it gets stuck in
the Windows 2000 setup screen and will not continue past that.

Please advise.

Thanks Steve. Certainly more help than I could find but was not the problem.
I gave up, just backed up and started from scratch.

Thanks for the feedback Gus, sorry it wasnt the fix. Although it could well
have been some virus attack.
