Windows 2000 back to Windows 98

Is it possible to go back to Windows 98 after you have
loaded Windows 2000 professional and switched to NTFS?
 
Windows 98 cannot read an NTFS-formatted drive. Your only option at this
point would be to reformat the drive with FAT or FAT32, re-install Windows
98 and re-load your data from backup.
