Hi!

I have windows 2000 Server with File & Print service, AD, DNS, and
DHCP. This afternoon, users are unable to connect to the server, and we
even find that the server cannot be pinged. We saw a log on event viewer
with these details:

3/23/2006 2:53:59 PM Userenv Error None 1000 NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SVR01
Windows cannot unload your registry file. If you have a roaming
profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator.

DETAIL - Access is denied. , Build number ((2195)).

3/23/2006 2:37:26 PM Userenv Error None 1000 NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SVR01
Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer
network. Return value (59).
3/23/2006 2:26:30 PM Userenv Error None 1000 NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SVR01
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects . A message
that describes the reason for this was previously logged by this policy
engine.
3/23/2006 2:21:30 PM Userenv Error None 1000 NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SVR01
Windows cannot connect to <domain> with (0x2747).

What does this mean? Hope you can help me solve this problem.

What's going on with the server? Did you check the event logs on the server
or try restarting it?

Hi
Try to see if your dhcp is running, because if the clients are Dhcp clients
and the Dhcp isn't running they'll get a APIPA address and won't be able to
connect to the server resources.

I have seen that Event ID 2019 was caused by Symantec Antivirus on the
Windows 2000 DC (as describe on MSKB:
http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?id=272568) . Need to know who
among you encounter the same problem? My Actual scenario is this, my server
has Symantec AV Server version 10 and it handles version 10 and 8 Symantec
AVs.

That was one possibility I was going to raise, uninstalling Symantec/Norton
AV as a troubleshooting step. You could also see this article:
