MSDN Article Q285445 reports that in PPT2002 switching between a PowerPoint
presentation and another program does not cause the WindowActivate event.
Does anyone know if this has been corrected in PPT2003. I would think not as
I find that the event is caused by switching between views (e.g. slidesorter
and normal) but not between applications (e.g. excel and powerpoint). I'm
convinced but my boss isn't. A little help?

Not sure offhand, but have you checked to see what happens when you switch from
another app back to PPT? A bit of quick testing in PPT 2000 suggests that
activating PPT again will fire WindowActivate (and switching from PPT to
another app will fire WindowDeActivate).

Once the focus is away from PPT, I wouldn't expect any events to fire IN PPT.
