Window XP

I was sold a laptop without a Certified XP. I am now locked out. I finally
got a new Windows XP but when I turn on the computer I get the message I must
activate Windows. I click Yes but it then tells me Windows is already
activated. I then get this message: "Copy of windows must be activated with
Microsoft before you can log on. PLease ask administrator to activate windows
on this computer. I'm not computer savvy as you can tell. CAn anyone tell me
if there is anything I can do to get this computer working?

for activation issue to need to contact microsoft 1800-936-5700 or else you
need to contact the computer vendor where u bought the computer they will
activate the windows.

Thanks for your help. I have a friend trying to get this resolved. If he is
unable to do so, I will do this when I get my laptop back. I appreciate you
taking the time to help.
