Window XP problem

I have problem with my hp laptop. When I boot my laptop, I heard beeps
repeatly on the screen showing HP logo. After 1 minutes, windows XP will
start. But I encountered following problems (1) When I click on the Start
button, both All Program and Printer & Faxs options will keep on blinking (2)
When I intend to restart, I heard noice sound after I click on the logoff
button from Start menu (3) When I intend to click on the options under the
control panel, wrong option was display after I click on the option. For eg,
I click on Add or Remove program option but the system show power option. I
have reinstall the window but same problems occurred.
Please advised how to solve this problem. Thank you.

Hiii, repeated system beeps during startup indicate hardware error or
improper seating of hardware componenets like ram. pls consult your service
techinician. caution! continious use of your laptop irrespective of these
beeps results in more hardware failure! and damage!
