Hi,

Today I My computer to just restart without warning about
every 15 minutes or so. It did this about 5 times then I
completely shut down and it hasn't done it now for about
45 minutes,

Any ideas as to what may have caused this or if there is
reason to be alarmed. I have tons of neccessary apps and
I dread having to do a reinstall if it returns.

Please email me at (e-mail address removed)

In Control Panel|SYSTEM|ADVANCED tab|STARTUP AND RECOVERY, UNcheck the
"automatically restart" box. Then, at least, you may see an error message
and can begin to diagnose the problem. This URL may help with that...

That sounds suspiciously like one of the viruses (Blast, Lovesan and
successors) that strike the 'RPC' system and give a reboot referring
possibly to that or to NT Authority.

and follow the instructions
