window xp can't logon

laptop with window xp professional, it's from work , so there is domain setup,
have a home computer with route, but can't see each other, i changed laptop
domain to workgroup with the same name as home computer, but can't logon
laptop anymore with previous username and password, there is no domain
selecion on logon screen either for me to change back to work domain, how to
fix it?

"Whoops"... Wired Ethernet to your router or Wireless ?

You removed it from membership in the Domain. Right Click
My Computer, Left Click Properties, Computer Name (Tab)
Network ID button. You'll have to re-join the original Domain
name.

For use at home, all you had to do was configure the Alternate
TPC/IP settings and use Static values (based on your Router's
range). This way you could use it at Work or Home and it is
smart enough (?) to do know where it's at.

Oooops made a mistake there! I take it you dont know the local admin password for the machine? if you do just login with administrator / password from the login screen.

If not, then you have got to recover the admin password then have a look at http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm
