Hi

It isn't really possible to remove Internet Explorer from Windows 2000, so I
don't think that is very relevant.

Here is an alternative:

If you want to download updates from a computer (with Internet Explorer)
for later installs on another computer, you can use Windows Update Catalog:

Click Start --> Run --> Type
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com and hit enter
that should do the trick
