window size won't stay the same

I suspect this is an XP issue. I have stretched the IE window to fit the
entire Desktop, but it won't stay that way the next time I open it. Other
windows seem to stay the right size. In W2K there was a setting that
remembered window sizes, but I can't find it in XP.

Mine does it too, it only seems to remember the browser size when I stretch
it to a ridiculous size,
Gates is filthy rich, what does he care?

When you stretch the window using the double arrows, use: File/Close or
Exit and it will be remembered. What you have to keep in mind is that the
secondary window opened inherits the last size (usually being a pop-up).

Added info:

By default, Windows is designed to remember 400 different folder settings
(200 local folders and 200 network folders, for a total of 400 folders).
Windows will start to re-use these stored settings on a 'Most Recently Used'
basis, once the folder limit has been exceeded. You can change this to 8000
by adding this edit to the registry.

Run this edit, then reset your preferred folder options:

Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Thank you, Kelly. Your website has been added to my list of Favorites.
However neither of your fixes for the window size has worked for me. The
bottom edge and bottom right corner continue to remain as they want to, just
short of maximized. I am reduced to editing the properties of the IE
shortcut to make it come up maximized.

Right click on the Shortcut and Choose properties then Change the RUN

I have done this as you suggest and it does open up maximized, but it is not
quite what I was looking for. I like my windows in a certain spot and a
certain size, but alas, it seems impossible at this time. I will eventually
figure it out.
