Window Shutdown time fluctuates

Hi,
The Windows shutdown time Fluctuates depending on how
long the System running independent of the other
Applications running on the system.

For Example:

1> If the System runs for 10 minutes after boot up it
takes 10 Seconds to shutdow.

2> If the system runs for 3 hours it takes around 25 sends
to shutdown

3> If the System runs for 2 to 3 days it takes around 1
minute to shutdown

Let me know if there is any setting or configration I can
change so the shutdown time doesn't vary much.

OR What are the factors involved to drastically changes
the shutdown time.

Thanks,
Madhava

My guess is that the longer you use your computer the more processes you
will have running. Check TaskManager for how many processes you have open
before shutting down in each of your scenarios.

Also, some processes will need to flush memory content to disk, or any
other maintaining task, and this would take longer time if your computer
has been running for a long time.

A server that has been running for months usually takes more than five
minutes to shut down.

In some cases, some processes doesn't answer a shutdown request in a timely
manner, and this can delay the shutdown further.

Best regards

Bjorn
