Window Media player sounds terrible

Tom

I have a new Dell Computer with Windows XP. When I play
any music file (CD audio or MP3) with windows media
player it sounds Terrible. When I play the same music
file with WinAmp, it sounds fine. I've tried playing
with all the settings and can't figure out how to make it
sound good. I'm getting close to removing windows media
player 9 from my system. Any suggestions would be
appreciated. Thanks.

If WinAmp works fine, why bother with WMP? Also, there
are many other players available that are free/shareware
at below website and are better than WMP. Try MusicMatch
Jukebox, it is excellent.
