windows media player - playing several sound files

i use windows xp and when i play music in windows media player and select '
play selection ' to play several sound files highlighted simultaneously only
the first sound file plays.
any ideas please

"play several sound files simultaneously"....Youve got to be jokeing,try
having
youre dvd,cassette player,or youre tv do youre request,doesnt work,why
would WMP do that.....

You mean sequentially, right? Simultaneously means at the same time
and that's impossible, unless you have two soundscards. See below.
