Window Defender not listed in Scheduled task

I looked at the scheduled tasks in the control panel and Windows Defender is
not listed as being scheduled. I have Norton Antivirus but no WD.

Why cannot I get the autoscan to schedule and run?

First re- check shedule tasks go to advanced section,it is a hidden task ! a
click will show any hidden ! also it should indicate in the advanced section
whether schedule tasks are activated !

Great on this machine it is on the list but my laptop it is not. My laptop
has Norton internet security running. Could that be the problem?

Also, I have the time set for 2:00Am but it is running a 1:41AM why the time
difference?

I don't use norton however its always possiable if you have to give
permissions, that its blocking a new schedule task ? as to the time
difference thats really odd try resetting to a new time ! and checking if its
correct then reverting to the time you want !

If you have scheduled in task scheduler, should also have the same time
scheduled in WD or should you not have anything scheduled in WD?
TIA

I will reply to my own post with an answer provided by Bill Sanderson in
another thread. He posted the following:

If you change the setting in defender, it will change that hidden scheduled
job (the "system" one)

You may also be able to change the characteristics of that job
yourself--i.e. make it run at 9:30, for example, rather than 9--but for now,
I'd leave it alone and lets see whether it'll work the way it is designed
to. I'd also go back to the advanced menu choice and hide the hidden tasks
again, unless you like looking at them."
Good Luck
