Window 2000 CONFIG_INITIALIZATION_ERROR boot problem

Hi

Have Win 2k professional sp4 and been getting a blue screen of death with the CONFIG_INITIALIZATION_ERROR.

have found mention of this error here:

with hopeful line "Asked and answered in win2000.hardware"

but a search of the windows 2000 hardware forum says CONFIG_INITIALIZATION_ERROR is not a good search string.

any pointers??
