Win32k.sys Blue Screen Error

Hiya guys

A problem again damn so many problems !

Here are my specs:

Gigabyte Motherboard (the one Flops sold to me)
Tagan 380W Powersupply
XP2200
256mb PC2100 DDR Memory (samsung)
10gb Western Digital
Windows XP Pro sp1
Gforce 4 ti4200

I get this blue screen just a minute or so after I go into Windows it goes:

win32k.sys
adress BF86401D Base At BF8000000

STOP 0 x 000000BE

Ive tried changing my Ram into another socket.
I beleive this problem started when I installed my drivers for the graphics card and all these onboard sound drivers!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this problem?

thanks

Well, your showing some of the signs of memory problems, however, I just noticed your using a 10gig HD ... run CHKDSK /f on it from the Run command, and restart the PC to let it check.

Does it run OK in safe mode?

You'll get Linux on a 10gig HD ;)

yes sir mucks its running fine in safe mode.

but point to note even when i was installing xp these erros came up
the computer would go to this blue screen even when it installing.

i know abt the 10gb its v small but i just wanted to make sure it works.

i also think it looks like a memory problem
i did try to change the memory into another socket but this didnt help this error.

i will try the chkdsk/f from the run commmand
and i will possibly look into getting some new memory any suggestions?

its the Gigabyte 7400 pro2 motherboard that Flops sold to me.

As I said ... it is all the clasics of a memory problem ... especially if you had problems installing in the first place.

However, as with these things, it is never that clear cut ... as an old time system builder myself I always have "spares" that I can use ... if not, then I'll use something out of a working PC to "check" for the fault.

Now the crunch ... you say it is running fine in safe mode, if so, then you have a driver problem or at least that is what I would be looking at first.

so, we go around in circles ... good fun PCs, int they. :D
