win2Kpro shutdown

Just upgraded from NT4.0 to win2Kpro and I noticed that the on/off
pushbutton on the front panel of my PC no longer works after the upgrade. I
read somewhere that a BIOS upgrade is also required when upgrading to
win2Kpro. Will a BIOS upgrade fix my on/off pushbutton problem?
 
Probably not. Have you tried holding the button in for about 5 seconds
or more? Sometimes it takes longer for the system to recognize.
