Everything was fine when I shutdown Friday night, but when
I turned the pc on Saturday morning I found a problem I
haven't been able to fix. Opening screen checks for
keyboard, mouse and things, but the next screen gives me
this message...

NTLDR is missing
Press any key to restart

When I press a key, I get the same message again. I have
done a full reformat but still get the same message. I can
bypass this if I have my Win2Kpro disk in the CDR before I
turn on the pc.

It might help if I knew what the NTLDR is but at this
point I am lost. I am thinking of unplugging the BIOS with
another reformat and see if that helps. If not, then I
guess I will be taking the pc to a shop to see if it can
be repaired.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it greatly.
Thank you,
Brenda

Well, since you asked and I checked to make sure....

Yes, there was one. duh I didn't put it there. Must have
been my daughter saving for her school report and left it
behind.

Is that all it is?

So simple to cause so much trouble.

Thank you Ray! :)
