Is it legal to install the same copy of software on 20 PCs if you're
licensed for 20 copies? (as opposed to installing a separate copy on each
PC).

Before I started working here, our company bought 20 copies of Win2k Pro. I
have the sales receipts and the CDs. But I only have found the product keys
for a few of the disks.

Thanks

Don't take this as gospel or anything... but my understanding was that those
license keys that you can't find are the only real thing that says you even
have a license. In other words, your sales receipts and CD's don't prove
anything. At least that was the result of the discussions we had with MS
about the same sort of thing. In court, they may reach another conclusion.
