win2k won't boot

My system won't boot up at all not even in safe mode. I
never created an emergency repair disk. Am trying some
recovery console stuff but have a question.
1) Can I create an ERD from recovery console?
2) Can I use an ERD from another computer?

Thanks,
Steve

You can still try to boot and use the REPAIR option, but that is sketchy (in
my experience). Also, you could try a "layover". Or install 2k to a new
folder so you can salvage your data.
