I have 3 hard drives, all NTSF file system. A while back,
hd0 died an agonizing death. I replaced it with a new
Maxtor 120gb, and made it my master boot disk. Ever since,
my machine will not reboot. I have to shut down, turn it
off, and do a cold restart. If I don't press the power
button for just the right length of time (2-3 secs or so),
I have to turn the machine off again; it almost always
boots by the 2nd attempt. Any ideas what my problem is?
The system files are all there. Jumpers set wrong?? It
doesn't stop me from operating my system, but it's the
first machine I've had that won't reboot. Thanks in
advance for any suggestions.
