Win2k initial login screen

I used to use powertoys to set the login userid and password so I didn't
have to mess with it everytime. Now with win2k pro I don't have that option.
I had someone tell me they thought you could set those as variables in the
registry. I searched the help site but came up empty.

Anyone have any ideas?

Control Panel|Users and Passwords|Advanced, then uncheck the box for
"Require users........"

In that case the password for the autologon account most likely was changed.
You can run regedit.exe, navigate to;
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
edit the Reg_Sz string values
"DefaultUserName"
and
"DefaultPassword"
to reflect the correct username and password.
