Win2k IE6 can open neither pdf nor mp3.

This is a continuation of a previous thread
in which I noted the problem with pdf only.
I now add mp3. In both cases, I can save the
files and open them directly with the appropriate
applications. Previous postings referring to
WinXp have not helped, nor has reinstalling
Adobe. I note that this is Win2k, not WinXp.
There appears to be a general problem opening
other applications.

Further advice addressing IE6 and Win2k would
be much appreciated.

Note that this is a recent problem -- probably
since an upgrade about a month ago.

Problem solved by switching to Firefox.
