Win2K doesnt recognise games CD

When starting Flight Sim 2004 or Doom 3 (not tried other
games) Windows keeps requesting the original disk be
placed in the drive even when it is. This problem only
occurs when logged in above GUEST (e.g. Administrator).
When logged in as guest it works fine.

I understand there is a similar problem with winXP (but
the other way around) and there is a patch to fix it.

Anyone had a similar problem and is there a fix for it. Or
am I overlooking something obvious in the settings.

try giving the Guest-account reading-rights on the CDROM Drive.. that
should fix it...
same was on my pc, when trying to burn.. reading was allright, but
writing was not allowed so far. changed the permissions as admin and
from then on, i can burn...
