Larry Pluhar

here is the problem:

Data is on a customers PC running XP home edition. He also
has a laptop that is running W2K and has a CD burner in
it. He wishes to burn his data to a cd on the laptop. The
XP recognizes the W2k in My Network places but he cannot
access the laptop, let alone the burner to burn his data.
The laptop(W2K) doesn't even see the XP PC in my network
places. hmmmm sure could use some help here as to how to
make the W2K see the XP home and to burn data from PC to
Laptop.

Thanks..

Larry

I assume both OS log onto the same workgroup or domain as the case may be?
Assuming a home network then both should be in the same workgroup. Then you
have shared the CD burner to everyone? And shared the XP C drive to
everyone? If you have done that, you should be seeing the files. charlie
