win2003 VPN Problem

YHim

Win2003 had been working great but last week the VPN stop working. The
crazy part of it is that it doesn't work if my user try to VPN from out side
of our local network. But when I try it from internally, I will be able to
connect. If I was to try it out side of my local network it would not
connect. IT ACT LIKE THE SERVER IS NEVER THERE OR CAN NOT FINE VPN SERVER.

ANY HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

THANKS

Assuming you have a router, double check the port forwarding. Or try telnet port 1723 from outside.

I enable the basic firewall on the internet. I completely forgot about it.
I must be getting old. Now I want to keep it but the problem is that I can
vpn into the network.

How do I configure it? I tried the enabling the port 1723 and 1701 but it
still doesn¹t allow me to connect.

Again, any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: win2003 VPN Problemhave you forward the port 1723 to the private IP? If, yes, can you telnet the port from outside?
